New Apprentice Member Application

Thank you for your interest in joining Boyd's Station Artist Guild as a new apprentice member. The Boyd's Station Artist Guild is part of the nonprofit Boyd's Station — please see our website for more information: www.boydsstation.org.

APPRENTICE MEMBERS - Apprentice members include both student artists and novice artists. Students ages 9th grade and up may apply for membership. Apprentice members may submit work for Guild Showcases, attend general meetings, and vote on Boyd’s Station Artist Guild matters. Apprentice members are not eligible to hold office in the Boyd’s Station Artist Guild.

New Apprentice artist applicants must submit a single online link highlighting 5-10 photos that present individual examples of your work with this application form. Each photo must include a description noting the artist’s name, title, medium, size, and date created.

Following the submission of the online application, and review by the Boyd’s Station Artist Guild membership committee, Apprentice applicants will then be invited to attend an informational meeting on Zoom with the members of Boyd's Station Artist Guild to discuss their work before an invitation to join the guild is formally offered. Applicants will be notified of the results of their submissions no later than 30 days following the meeting with Boyd’s Station Artist Guild members.

The membership committee will evaluate the online application of each prospective Apprentice application. Work will be assessed on the basis of artistic expertise (technical skill, control of media, attention to detail), artistic vision (clarity of artistic direction, cohesion of body of work), and artistic voice (creativity, originality).

Please see the Boyd’s Station Artist Guild membership FAQ’s for complete information regarding this application process and membership requirements and benefits.
